Double at Downpatrick

Noel Meade and Paul Carberry enjoyed a double at Downpatrick today with North Star Lad and Dark Prospect. North Star Lad won a maiden hurdle and could be heading over the major obstacles next. Dark Prospect was winning for the first time over fences at the first attempt. The horse hadn't won since 2010 when it won won twice on the flat at Dundalk and then a maiden hurdle at Galway.
