Maureen O'Hara award for Saoirse Ronan
Saoirse Ronan attended the Kerry Film Festival over the weekend where she was honoured with the Maureen O'Hara Award, named after the actress with Kells roots. The 'Byzantium' actress was given the award which celebrates outstanding women in cinema on Saturday night. After receiving the honour in St John's Church, Ronan said: "I had a wonderful time at the Kerry Film Festival. It was a real honour to receive the Maureen O'Hara Award and I'm delighted I got a chance to meet some of the talented filmmakers at the event. I hope to come back again soon."
