Navan suffer first loss

Navan were knocked off the top of All-Ireland League Div 2B following tonight's 12-27 loss to hosts Naas at Forenaughts. The Meath club were one point clear of their Kildare hosts at the top of the table prior to this clash, but the concession of three second-half tries saw Navan slump to their first defeat in four outings. The opening half was tense with Alan Hickey's excellent kicking keeping Navan on level terms at the break, 6-6. However within three minutes of the resumption Naas crossed for their first try and ran out comfortable winners.
