Meath too good for Dublin
Meath produced an excellent performance to defeat Dublin today in the Leinster VEC Inter-County SFC quarter-final at O'Toole Park, Crumlin. Despite trailing by a point (0-6 to 1-4) at the interval, Meath produced a spirited second-half display against the wind to win the contest by 1-12 to 1-8. Meath's cause was also helped by the fact that Dublin had a player sent-off in the opening half. Meath now qualify for the provincial semi-final in January while Dublin will join the play-offs to get back into the competition and will be in action next weekend. This victory is a great boost for the manager Kit Henry and the selectors.
