Meath hurlers win
Meath hurlers made a winning start to the Kehoe Cup at Páirc Táilteann today with a narrow victory against Armagh by 0-15 to 0-11. This was a good performance by Meath in their first competitive game of the year. Armagh had already played in the first round last week and won well against St Patrick's (Drumcondra). Backed by the first-half elements Armagh were ahead by 0-8 to 0-4 at half-time, but Meath dictated after the break and were on level terms inside three minutes of the resumption. Meath also missed lots of goal chances in the second-half, but won well to qualify for the semi-final next week.
