Hamsandwich to support Bon Jovi at Slane
Kells-based band Hamsandwich will join The Coronas and Bressie as special guests of Bon Jovi at Slane Castle on 15th June, it has been announced.
Hamsandwich are well known for their incendiary live performances, which has made them one of Ireland's most enthralling live acts in recent times. With the combination of Niamh Farrell's powerful yet sweet vocal and Podge McNamee’s juxtaposing baritone, the band are given its signature calling card. With album numer three on the way 2013 is shaping up to be one hell of a year for the Kells group.
Following the release of their platinum-selling their album, 'Closer To You' The Corona’sbrought their 2012 to a close with a career high sell out homecoming show at The O2. With their previous two albums both double platinum selling hits - ‘Heroes or Ghosts’ and ‘Tony Was An Ex’, the Dublin band are undoubtedly one of Ireland’s biggest acts.
Bressie is currently topping the Irish album charts with his second record Rage and Romance. Already a well-respected and talented musician from his time fronting The Blizzards, the Mullingar musician is currently a judge on the Voice of Ireland. He has expertly filled this role with charisma and professionalism and it, in turn, has firmly planted him in the heart of the Irish public as a true gentleman of the Irish music industry.
