Andrew on the mark at Tipperary

Ashbourne jockey Andrew Lynch was in the winners' enclosure at Tipperary tonight as he returned from an injury sustained at Punchestown last week.

Lynch partnered the Henry de Bromhead-trained Treacy Hotels Boy to victory in  a maiden hurdle.

It was the six-year-old's third appearance on the track and chasing could be the long-term goal.

Kilmessan jockey Jason Maguire was in double form at Sedgefield winning a maiden hurdle and a chase for trainer Donald McCain.

Local racing tomorrow will see big crowds flocking to Kilbeggan for the first action of the year, first race 5.15.
