Meath face Kildare in Christy Ring Cup

Meath hurlers will be heading for Newbridge next Saturday for a quarter-final Christy Ring Cup showdown against Kidare (3.0).

The draw for the quarter-finals was released yesterday on the GAA website, but the time and venue listed are both provisional at this stage.

The draw was fairly kind to Meath as they avoided a trip to either Kerry or Derry.

Derry have to make the long trip to Kerry for their quarter-final.

If Meath win on Saturday they will go into the last four while if they lose, they will face one of the winners of the losers group the following Saturday.

In that losers' group there is an Ulster derby between Armagh and Down while Wicklow have home advantage against Mayo.
