Parkvilla's narrow cup final win

Parkvilla took the honours in the NECSL u-15 Cup final at the MDL today when they proved too resourceful for a spirited Kentstown Rovers side.

Both teams coped admirably with the difficult conditions as the Navan boys enjoyed some compensation for finishing second in the race for the League title behind the Kentstown boys.

Tadhg Ratty had the best chance of the opening half for Parkvilla but was narrowly off target as the teams turned over scoreless at the interval.

Conor Brennan got the vital goal for Parkvilla 10 minutes into the second-half and they went close on a few subsequent occasions as they held on for a merited victory.

The Parkvilla management team comprises Mark Ratty and Murt Doyle who were both smiling at the final whistle.
