Jack Duff and Cormac Connell

Jack and Cormac on Britain's Got Talent tonight

Navan schoolboys Jack Duff and Cormac Connell will perform live on Britains's Got Talent this evening and are calling on the people of Meath to get behind them and vote.

The duo, who shot to fame following their impressive performance of  'Little Talks' at the Cardiff auditions of the show, are both second year students at St Patrick's Classical School, Navan

They were one of 45 acts chosen by judges to progress to the live semi-finals which are taking place this week at Wembley.

Jack (13) from Johnstownwood and Cormac (14) from Beauparc are calling on the people of Meath and beyond to vote for them as it is the public vote that will decide if they will make it through to the grand final and be in with a chance of performing at the Royal Variety Performance and winning a £250,000 cash prize.

Voting numbers from Ireland are available on the TV3 website during the show.
There are five semi-finals this week with nine acts in each and the two acts with the highest votes will go through to the grand final on 8th June.

The boys are performing a different song  and were in rehearsals all day today  ahead of this evening’s performance.

Jack’s mum Lesley said: “They are well rehearsed and are ready to go on and do their song. They have been rehearsing flat out and are ready to rock.”

While the lads are well prepared, they admit to being nervous. “We have to be nervous, it is live. We can only do our best. That’s all we can do,” said Jack.

The boys have been enjoying their new found fame since appearing on the show. “It is absolutely fantastic. Lots of people have been coming up to us and saying I know you off the telly,” said Jack.

Britain’s Got Talent is on TV3 at 7.30pm this evening.
