Kiltale open with a win

Kiltale opened the defence of their SHC crown with a convincing 0-16 to 0-7 victory over Boardsmill at Kildalkey this evening.


Boardsmill were well in the game up to half-time as the teams turned over at 0-3 each, but Kiltale upped the tempo in the second-half and won well.


Peter Durnin scored six points and Jack Regan managed three in a soild team performance for Kiltale who were without Mark O’Sullivan, Willie Mahady and Anthony Forde.


Jimmy Pratt with four points was Boardsmill’s top scorer.

In the IHC tonight, Donaghamore/Ashbourne recorded a good win in a tight game against Clann na nGael by 0-13 to 0-10.
