Summerhill win Keegan Cup
Summerhill won the Keegan Cup with a 1-13 to 1-10 victory over Na Fianna in the final today at Pairc Tailteann.
With both sides bagging bizarre goals, Summerhill's from David Larkin and Na Fianna's Dalton McDonagh, it was Declan McCabe's side that led by 1-7 to 1-4 at half-time.
That advantage was stretched to 1-10 to 1-4 nine minutes after the resumption, but then Na Fianna rallied to get back to level terms 1-10 each with 10 minutes to go.
However, Summerhill used all their experience to good effect and after 16 barren minutes they closed with points from Paul Rispin, Richie Hatton and Adrian Kenny to claim the Keegan Cup.
