Na Fianna secure A FL Div 2 title

Na Fianna crusied to victory this afternoon in the final of the A FL Div 2 final when they eased past the challenge of Gaeil Colmcille by 2-12 to 2-4 without too much difficulty.

It was a fine performance by the Enfield / Baconstown men who were well in control with the benefit of the first-half wind as they established a 0-9 to 0-1 interval advantage.

The goals flowed after the resumption with Conor Downey and Dalton McDonagh on the mark for Na Fianna and Danny McGovern and Brian Hanlon replying for Gaeil Colmcille.

Meath Co Board vice-chairman Peter O'Halloran presented the cup to Na Fianna captain Michael Foley.

Next up for na Fianna is a Feis Cup quarter-final tie against Wolfe Tones at Cortown on Friday night.
