Fairyhouse set for Meath GAA raceday influx
Preparations are on-going at Fairyhouse racecourse this week for the inaugural Meath GAA raceday with some 1,300 patrons expected to support the fundraiser on Sunday.
The Jameson Stand will be the main centre of operations for the Meath GAA Co Board-promoted event and management at Fairyhiouse are currently putting the finishing touches to a huge marquee that will make sure everyone is well catered for.
The theme will definitely be green and gold and with more than 130 tables sold already, the organisers have had to put up the 'sold out' signs.
It is understood that Meath Co Board officiers have recruited a knowledgeable 'expert or two' who will provide all the right information to facilitate a profitable afternoon.
The racing will be top class and local trainers Noel Meade and Gordon Elliott might even make a guest appearance - this is not confirmed, but Noel Meade is a big Meath supporter and has his horsebox painted GREEN AND GOLD.
