Lots of GAA activity
The local focus on the inter-county scene will be very much on the forthcoming Fitzsimons Cup senior football tournament with Meath set to tackle Westmeath in a semi-final clash at Kells on Sunday 8th December.
This will give Meath supporters a chance to look at some new players that manager Mick O'Dowd may be considering for the O'Byrne Cup game against DIT in Navan on Sunday 5th January.
Trials for the u-21 football team will continue next Saturday (7th December) at Dunganny where manager Sean Barry will continue to assess players.
Meath will face Louth in the Leinster u-21 FC championship on Wednesday 5th March at a Louth venue.
After next Monday night's annual convention, the focus will also turn to the club championships with the draws for the 2014 competitions likely to take place in February.
Clubs across the county are finalising managerial appointments at the moment at earlier this week Duleek / Bellewstown confirmed that Graham Geraghty will be in charge again for the SFC in 2014.
Jody Devine has departed Gaeil Colmcille with former Meath captain Shane McAnarney taking the reins as the Kells men return to the SFC in 2014.
Donaghmore/Ashbourne have appointed former Dublin player Paul Clarke and he tales over from Leo Turley.
