Meath GAA open day set for May

Meath GAA will host their 2014 open day on Friday 9th May at a venue yet to be confirmed.

The open day at Tayto Park last summer proved to be a major success with thousands showing up.

Among the crowd was a huge number of youngsters who had an opportunity to meet their favourites on the Meath football, and hurling, teams and add to their autograph collection.

There was also a big contingent of media and older supporters in the sizeable attandance.

This year the Meath Co Board are hoping to attract an even bigger level of support for the event.

'About 3,000 turned up at Tayto Park which was one of the largest crowds for any of the GAA open days around the country and we would be very optimistic that an even bigger crowd will be in attendance next May,' added Meath PRO Martin O'Halloran.
