Bobby back with Navan winner
Bobby McNally, a first cousin of top trainer Gordon Elliott, returned to the winners’ enclosure at Navan today for his first success since 2008 when he partnered Hold Em Cowboy to victory in a handicap hurdle.
McNally relinquished his riding licence five years ago and also spent some time with top English trainer Paul Nicholls, but he took a licence again last month and showed that he still has the ability to deliver a winner.

While Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh dominated the meeting, there was a local success in the bumper.
Noel Meade provided the ammunition and Nina Carberry did the steering to win the last race with Chancol which was running for the first time for owner JP McManus after previously finishing sixth in the €100,000 Tattersalls Bumper at Fairyhouse last April.
