Millbrook defeat for Meath
Meath lost out to Cavan this afternoon in the Frank Govern Memorial Cup final at Millbrook, Oldcastle as the Ulster side recodrded a 1-13 to 1-8 victory.
Shane O'Rourke had been named at midfield on Saturday, but he did not start and was replaced by Conor Gillespie while David Larkin also started instead of David Bray.
Meath were ahead by 1-5 to 0-3 at the interval with Padraig McKeever finding the net.
Meath were also reduced to 14 men when Stephen Bray collected a black card, but as he already had a yellow card it added up to a dismissal.
Meath could only muster three second-half points and Cavan reeled off the scores for another victory over the Royal County.
