Brady aiming to Rome - first stop The Central Valentine's weekend
Navan man Philip Brady is in serious training for a major fundraising venture that will take him to Rome on two wheels this summer and benefit the Irish Cancer Society in the process. The challenge for the popular multi-talented cyclist, who is also known for his musical ability, will be to make it to Italy on two wheels following a route from Navan to France via Rosslare and Cherbourg and on to Italy next June.
He is even taking the training regime seriously - see his new partner in bed (watch the video).
'Next June I'm aiming to cycle from Navan to Rome, I will be cycling up to 200kms a day for 10 days and the aim of all this exertion is to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society,' he commented.
Next weekend the first major fundraiser will take place on Saturday 15th February at The Central in Navan.
'There wil be music and a barbecue, tickets are available from myself or The Central for €10. Event details are here and if you can click that you're going I can get numbers ready so that the Central is prepared and no one is left out with food. It's going to be a great day and night in The Central,' added the intrepid cyclist.
