Doherty meeting on end of life care

Fine Gael Meath East TD and member of the Oireachtas Health Committee, Regina Doherty, is today hosting a Think Ahead meeting in conjunction with the Irish Hospice Foundation in the Ratoath Community Centre.

“The Think Ahead campaign, which is being run by the Irish Hospice Foundation, encourages us all to think about whether our closest friends and relatives would know our wishes if we couldn’t talk for ourselves.

“End of life care may seem like a difficult and daunting topic, but it is an important discussion that we all should have with our loved ones.

“This public awareness initiative helps you get the right facts about your financial and legal affairs, and gives you the chance to write down your personal wishes for future medical, financial and personal care.

“I was very keen to support this important campaign, so I am co-hosting a meeting with the Irish Hospice Foundation in Ratoath this Friday, and I hope as many people as possible will come along to get information on how they can manage end of life care.”

The meeting will be held in Ratoath Community Centre from 10am to 12 noon.
