Footballers denied victory by late point
Meath were denied a sensational victory in Ballybofey today when Michael Murphy pointed an equaliser for Donegal in the fourth minute of injury-time after the referee penalised Meath for time-wasting at a sideline as the teams finished on 1-12 each.
Meath were ahead by 1-7 to 1-5 at the interval and remained in the ascendancy throughout the second-half only to be caught in added time.
Bryan McMahon, Eamon Wallace and Padraig Harnan will now have to focus on Wednesday night's u-21 replay agianst Louth.
