Woman critical after Balrath crash

A woman in her 30s remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, following a single vehicle collision at Ballymagarvey, near Balrath, on Monday morning, 5th May.
The accident occurred at 11.10am on the Kentstown to Balrath Road, close to Balrath Cross. The injured woman, who is from Kentstown, was the driver of a Renault Scenic car which crashed into a wall and a tree.
Firefighters from Navan used cutting equipment to free the injured woman from her car. She was initially taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where she remains in a critical condition.
Two other passengers in the car - an 18-year-old male and an 11-year-old boy - both received minor injuries and were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. It is understood that both have since been released from hospital.
