Open night in Tayto Park
Supporters of the Meath senior football and hurling teams will get to meet their idols when Meath GAA will host an open night at Tayto Park, Ashbourne on Friday evening between 6.30 and 8.30.
Players and management from both the hurling and football panels will be available to sign autographs, pose for photographs and answer questions from supporters and Co Board PRO Martin O’Halloran is promising a full-filled evening.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming all Meath supporters to Tayto Park on Friday evening for our open night and our senior footballers and hurlers are also looking forward to meeting the fans,” O’Halloran told the Meath Chronicle.
“This open night is very important to Meath GAA and we have all worked hard to ensure that everyone has a great time. The event will get underway at 6.30 and fans are asked to come wearing their Meath colours. Entry to Tayto Park will be free and there will also be plenty of face-painting and other activities for the children.”
The Meath footballers are currently preparing for their Leinster SFC quarter-final clash with Carlow in Dr Cullen Park on Sunday 15th June and they will face Galway in a SF challenge at Ratoath on Sunday, 2.0 before taking on Cork in Skryne on Sunday 18th May, 2.0..
The hurlers face a trip to Mayo on Saturday with a place in the Christy Ring Cup semi-finals up for grabs.
