A recount in the Ratoath Electoral Area will get underway at 2pm today, Monday. Three Fine Gael candidates are expected to take the last three seats to be filled there to complete the new Meath County Council.
In Trim, Ronan McKenna of Fianna Fail, and Enda Flynn and Noel French of Fine Gael were elected without reaching the quota late last night. A recount had been sought by Vera Kelly of Fianna Fail, who was four votes behind Enda Flynn.

With 10 boxes left to open at the local election count in Navan, the initial indications from the tallies are that Sinn Fein are on course to win a possible seven seats on the newly expanded Meath County Council.
In Navan, both Sinn Fein's Cllr Joe Reilly and Cllr Sinead Burke look set to take seats while the outgoing Mayor of Navan, independent Cllr Francis Deane, is also going very well.
Both Cllr John V Farrelly of Fine Gael, the outgoing cathaoirleach of Meath County Council, and Cllr Tracey McElhinney of Labour are by no means certain of retaining their seats. Similarly, Labour Cllr Niamh McGowan in the Ashbourne area looks like she is in trouble, based on initial tallies.
Independent Cllr Joe Bonner is set to top the poll in Ashbourne while another independent, Cllr Brian Fitzgerald,looks like being the poll-topper in the Ratoath area.
Star footballer Joe Sheridan, running for Fianna Fail in Ashbourne, will have his work cut out to gain a seat, according to the latest tallies.
