The development of the Meath GAA Co Board Centre of Excellence at Dunganny will commence around the middle of August with a nine to 12-month time frame for completion it was announced at Monday night’s meeting in Meath Hill.
Dunganny development committee officer Noel Dempsey updated the delegates on all matters in relation to the proposed development.
“The surveyors have finalised the plans at this stage and tenders will issue on Tuesday 24th June with a three-week window for submissions closing on Tuesday 14th July at 5pm with no extensions,” stated Dempsey.
“Assessment of the tenders will be finalised by Tuesday 21st July with an appointment of the contractor by 28th July.
“There is a new regulation in place that requires a Building Control Plan and that will take about two weeks to complete, work should start in mid-August.
“The completion time will be somewhere between nine and 12 months, but this will be reviewed in September and at that stage it will be possible to get a more accurate completion date.
“Some drainage work may also be included, but that hasn’t been finalised yet,” he concluded.
