Huge numbers of Meath fans disappointed at cancelled gigs
Meath fans have been reacting with disappointment and anger to the news that two of the five Garth Brooks' Croke Park concerts have been refused a licence.
Brooks, who was scheduled to play five shows from 25th to 29th July will now only play three, with the Monday and Tuesday gigs, July 28th and 29th called off after Dublin City Council gave permission for just three of the concerts.
Shows will go ahead on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July.
All five dates were a sellout as 400,000 tickets were sold out in record time.
Dublin City Council said granting permission would have been unprecedented and have posed unacceptable levels of disruption to the local community.
The council did not want to set a precedent for increasing the number of concerts in Croke Park.
