Boca impress on premier debut see penalty save
Boca Rovers made a promising start to life in the Meath & District Premier League when they earned a 1-1 draw with title contenders Navan Cosmos this morning at the MDL, Navan thanks to a late penalty save from Conor Gilsenan.
Cosmos took the elad in the first-half through Conor Walsh, but Stephen Casey grabbed an equaliser for Boca after the break.
Walsh had a great chance to seal victory for Cosmos from that late penalty, but he was denied by a superb penalty save.
Trim Celtic got off to a winning start when they defeated Woodview by 4-1 with two goals each from mark Leavy and Aaron Ryan.
