Title for clann na ngael

Clann na nGael claimed the Junior D Fc title at Pairc Tailteann last night with a merited victory by 1-10 to 0-10 against Ballinlough in an entertaining decider.

The winners were ahead by 1-7 to 0-6 at the interval and the goal arrived in the seventh minute, it was Clann na nGael first score and was finished to the net by Aaron Ryan who had a fine game.

Ryan also scored three points for Clann na nGael and the victory was a great result for popular manager Cathal Seoighe who gave David Wright a run in the closing minutes.

It is understood that David Wright announced his retirement from competitive football after the game.
