Tk maxx to open new navan store next week
Fashion-conscious local shoppers will be spoiled for choice from next week as another major retail name opens a new outlet in the town.
TK Maxx will open its doors at the Navan Retail Park on Thursday 25th September at 10am.
Aisling O'Loughlin, presenter of TV3's Xposé, will open the new store at the retail park on the Athboy Road - and the first 200 customers through the doors will receive a €10 gift card.
TK Maxx sells designer brands at significant discounts across a range of categories from fashion to homeware in a 'no frills' environment.
Navan store manager Anne Marie Clinton said: 'We're very excited to be opening the new store and bringing shoppers in Navan big savings on all their favourite brands.'
The Navan store will stock an average of 50,000 items at its 30,000sq ft property, with daily deliveries bringing up to 10,000 new items to the store each week.
TK Maxx will join retailers such as Homebase, Smyth's Toys, Halfords, DID Electrical and Petmania at the Navan Retail Park.
Meanwhile, a decision is due within the next eight weeks on Omniplex Holdings' application to build a nine-screen cinema at the Navan Retail Park.
Omniplex successfully applied to Meath County Council for planning permission to amalgamate three units on the Athboy Road site to provide a location suitable for a large cinema.
An objection was subsequently lodged with An Bord Pleanála in July 2014 by, among others, Diamond Cinemas and Showtime Cinemas. An Bord Pleanála is due to announce its decision on the appeal by 10th November.
