Hattrick for donohoe as trim celtic win
Trim Celtic staged a great second-half recovery at Tully Park this morning and inflicted a surprise defeat on Navan Cosmos as they won by 5-3 in a game that saw a big fade out from the Navan men after the break.
Cosmos were well in control at half-time with a 2-1 lead from well-taken goals by Sean Conaty and Colm Gilsenan while Derek Donohoe scored for Trim.
Trim even had club official Mick Craig sent-off by referee Reuben McManus as they lost focus and whinged a lot, but they were transformed in the second-half and with Mark Leavy scoring twice and Donohoe completing his hat-trick.
Cosmos pulled one back through Sean Reilly a minute from time.
Watching the action were officials from St Pater's, Athlone who travel to Trim next weekend for a FAI JUnior Cup game.
Kentstown Rovers produced a fine performance in the FAI Junior Cup when they won 2-0 in Wexford today.
