Impressive victory for kiltale
Kiltale produced a masterclass of hurling today in the SHC Jubilee Cup decider at Pairc Tailteann as they swept aside the challenge of Trim with an impressive 1-25 to 0-12 victory.
Trim were always chasing the game and they were adrift by seven points at the interval (0-6 to 0-13) but they also wasted a number of good chances in the opening 30 minutes as they tallied 10 wides and had to rely on James Toher for five pointed frees and one from play by Alan Douglas.
The second-half was all about Kiltale and particularly Jack Regan who claimed the man of the match award as he tallied 10 points for the hour.
Kiltale captain Peter Durnin sent over five points with the remaining 10 points coming from Anthony Forde (two), Stephen Donoghue (two), Padraig kelly (two) and one each by David Donoghue, Mark O'Sullivan, James Kelly and Cathal McCabe.
Forde also scored the Kiltale goal and they will be in action next Saturday in the A HL Div 1 final against Kildalkey at trim, throw in 4pm.
