Can kiltale keep winning
Kiltale hurlers will not have too much time to rest on their laurels after winning the SHC Jubilee Cup against Trim on Sunday last as they will be back in action this Saturday at 3pm when they tackle the team they defeated in the semi-final, Kildalkey, in the final of the A HL Div 1.
It's difficult to assess at this stage how Kiltale will shape up for this game, but a below-par performance next Saturday could suggest that they won't be in any better form the following weekend when they tackle Wexford oppostion in the Leinster Club IFC.
Kiltale will tackle Duffry Rovers of Wexford on Sunday 26th October at 2.30, at a Meath venue yet to be confirmed - likely to be either Pairc Tailteann or Trim.
One man who will be supporting Kiltale in their bid for Leinster honours is Trim manager John Andrews who commented after last Sunday's 0-12 to 1-25 defeat that Kiltale were the best team on the day and he urged them to make a serious bid for Leinster honours.
“I would like to call on Kiltale now to make a serious bid for success in the Leinster IHC, Meath teams, apart from Kilmessan, haven’t fared well in that competition.
“Kiltale have the ability to win a Leinster and maybe even an All-Ireland title, that would be a great boost for Meath hurling. I know that everyone in Trim would get behind Kiltale in their Leinster campaign,' he added.
