Great ovation for jack quinn at county final
Meath GAA Co Board honoured the legendary full-back and 1967 All-Ireland-winner Jack Quinn at today's Keegan Cup final where the former KIlbride man performed the ceremonial throw-in in front of some 5,000 supporters.
Brendan Cummins provided the information on Jack Quinn's achievements over the PA and the crowd responded enthusiastically to pay tribute to man who played for Meath in the 1960s and 1970s including a 1975 NFL final win over Dublin.
Jack's senior inter-county debut was in a NFL play-off against Cavan in Drogheda in 1963.
A knee injury finished his playing career in 1976.
