Kilmessan take title with ease allireland semi next
Dominant from the start Kilmessan powered their way to a resounding 6-21 to 1-2 victory over Donard Glen in the Leinster Junior Club Camogie final at Edenderry today.
This was every bit as one-sided as the scoreline suggests with the Meath side building on a 5-6 to 0-2 interval advantage to blow their opponents away at the windswept Offaly venue.
The game was a personal triumph for Katie Ni Choileain who fired home four goals in the opening 23 minutes and also scooped the 'player of the match' award.
Aileen Donnelly and Frances Lynch also netted for the dominant team in blue who fired over from all sorts of angles and distances.
At times Kilmessan's score-taking was very impressive with Megan Thynne bagging six points all from play while Kelly Gorman scored four.
Kilmessan now take on Cavan side Lacken in the All-Ireland semi-final and it's a game John Watters' side will approach with a lot of confidence.
