New playground at navan park to open soon

Installation work at the new children’s playground in Blackwater Park in Navan is nearing completion this week with a wide range of equipment being put in place.
This new large-scale playground is something that had been long sought by the parents of children both in Navan and the wider area and formed a central part of the new park’s plans.
Complete with swings, slides, climbing beams and treehouses, the playground is located at the start of the looped walkway in the park and is right beside the parking area.
Welcoming the installation of the playground this week, Cllr Shane Cassells said it was fantastic to see the playground nearing completion with all of the various swings and slides being installed this week.
“There was a huge need for this playground for the children of Navan and the wider area and it really adds greatly to Blackwater Park,” he said. “I spoke with people in the park this week who were absolutely delighted that there will now be such a facility to bring their children to.”
