Artistic director and principal violist, Beth McNinch, formed Musici Ireland in early 2012. Musici Ireland consists of the cream of Irish talent, all of whom are highly regarded soloists, chamber and orchestral musicians.
In 2012 they gave five highly acclaimed concerts in Dublin and Wexford, with sell out performances during the Wexford Opera Festival and, in 2013, made their debut performance at the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
In August of that year they gave multiple performances of Bruch String Octet and Brittens’ Simple Symphony at Castletown House in Co. Kildare as part of The Performance Corporations’ Big House Festival. During the 2013 Wexford Opera Festival Fringe they played the Premiere of Liam Bates’ 'Vivo' to a standing ovation.
This year has been prolific for the group, with two appearances at Music for Wexford, a four part concert series in the NCH, Dublin, as well as return performances at Calary Church and the Wexford Fringe Festival. They have been joined by a wonderful group of guest artists including Finghin Collins, Michael McHale, Ioana Petcu-Colon and Mia Cooper.
Don’t miss out on a chance to get truly in the festive mood and join Musici Ireland in Kells on Saturday 13th December at 7pm.
Tickets are €10 and €8 and available from The Bookmarket, Kells or on the door. For further information please contact Meath County Council Arts Office on (046) 909 7414.
