Kiltale claim u21 hc crown
Kiltale made amends for last year’s disappointment when they claimed the u-21 HC title with a resounding 1-12 to 1-6 victory over Trim at Pairc Tailteann today.
After failing to fulfil the final fixture against Blackhall Gaels/Drumree last year, Kiltale lost the decider in the committee rooms, but they were in the mood for making amends on Sunday as they held Trim scoreless for 37th minutes en route to their easy win.
Jack Regan’s goal from a 20-metre free boosted Paddy Kelly’s side to a 1-6 to 0-0 interval lead and they stretched that advantage to 11 points before Trim finally opened their account.
The issue was beyond doubt long before Trim’s late flourish which yielded an injury-time goal from Rory McGrath.
