Update road traffic collision in navan
Emergency services attended a two-car road traffic accident at the Inner Relief Road/Circular Road junction in Navan this morning.
The collision occurred at roughly 9am.
Emergency services removed the roof of one vehicle using specialised cutting equipment in an effort to safely release the driver.
There were no serious injuries arising from the incident, with a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána describing both drivers as as 'walking wounded'.
It is unclear how many people were travelling in each car.
Units from the fire brigade, ambulance services and gardaí attended the scene. The inbound lane of the Inner Relief Road remained closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Round O collision
A second accident road traffic accident was reported at the Round O roundabout at Flowerhill in Navan.
Nobody was injured in the collision, which was described by gardaí as a 'material damage' accident.
