Party time around kells after todays results
Four out of seven today for the Royal County at Leopardstown as Kells owner John Breslin lands the feature and Moynalty's Des McDonogh makes it two in two days.
Denis O'Regan partnered a double for Tony Martin and Kells owner John Breslin with Living Next Door (20/1)staying on well to win the Grade B Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown.
This win gave the trio a double on the day with Living Next Door shading the issue from the Ted Walsh-trained Foxrock with a fast-finishing Vics Canvas in third for Ratoath handler Dermot McLoughlin.
John Breslin was also successful with the Tony Martin-trained Blair Perrone in a maiden hurdle, Breslin's horse was previously on the mark at Perth in Scotland last May.
Tony Martin was also close to victory in the grade one future Champions Novice Hurdle when Golantilla finished third.
Moynalty handler Des McDonogh demonstrated that he can deliver the goods with the proper ammunition when he won the opening race on the second day of the Leopardstown Festival with another flat campaigner from the Jim Bolger yard.
This time it was Theophilus that had the Moynalty man, a two-time Champion Hurdle winning trainer, smiling as the three-year-old, which finished down the field on his last run (the Listed Trigo Stakes last October) landed the opening three-year-old maiden hurdle today.
Theophilus won a flat maiden for Jim Bolger his debut outing at Gowran Park last April.
Breeder William Flood was also a happy man after the Noel Meade-trained Russian Bill won the concluding bumper for Nina Carberry.
