Pats exit leinster schools sfc at kiltoom
St Patrick's CS, Navan crashed out of the Leinster Colleges Senior Football Championship this afternoon when a devastating opening quarter from Marist College of Athlone left the Meath students with far too much to do at St Brigids GAA grounds in Kiltoom.
The Navan students trailed by 0-5 to 2-4 at the interval and it finished with Marist winning by 4-8 to 1-8.
“We were 10 points behind early on and we lost by nine. It was a mountain to climb after the first 15 minutes. Lads responded well and tried hard but it was always going to be extremely difficult”, said St Pat’s coach Colm O’Rourke.
