Facile win for meath

Meath hurlers recorded their second win in seven days as they kept a tight grip on the Kehoe Cup they won 12 months ago with a comprehensive 25-point victory against Louth at Darver today, but manager Martin Ennis might not be too happy?

Meath were ahead by 5-13 to 0-0 at the interval although they actually lost the second-half (2-5 to 2-8) as they emerged with a one-sided 7-18 to 2-8 victory.

It wasn't all rosy in the garden for Meath who finished with 14 men after James Toher was dismissed early in the second-half for two yellow cards.

Meath also collected a further six or seven yellow cards, apart from Toher's two  - this will be checked with the referee.

Meath will play Longford in the third round of the Kehoe Cup next weekend and victory there will secure a place in the final the following weekend.
