Concern for childrens safety in trim

A semi-naked man reportedly exposed himself to a number of young girls while driving in the Trim area last Thursday.

The suspect, who is believed to be driving a white van, is said to be in his 30s or 40s with a goatee and round face.

It is understood that the man, who was dressed from the waist up, asked one girl in the New Haggard road area to perform a sex act. A second incident also occurred in the Newtown area, according to media reports.

Gardaí are investigating the incidents and are said to be taking the reports 'very seriously'.

Concerned parents have urged children to remain vigilant, run away if anyone approaches and talk to their parents if an incident arises.
