Manager Eamonn Murray had to be pleased with the performance of his minor team today as they opened their Leinster Ladies MFC B campaign with a resounding 8-10 to 1-7 victory against Wicklow.
Marion Farrelly hit four goals for Meath while noted camogie player Megan Thynne, who has an All-Ireland club medal with Kilmessan, helped herself to a brace of goals.
Aoibhinn Cleary and Kelsey Nesbitt completed the goal tally for Meath.
Meath were demoted from the A grade, but are expected to make a major impression at this level and they were always in control.
