Andy tormey added to injury list

There was more bad news for Meath football today with an update on Andy Tromey who hobbled off last night against Laois in the NFL Div 2 suggesting that he is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with injury.

The Donaghmore/Ashbourne man has been one of Meath's top players this year, but he had to be assisted from the pitch last night in the closing stages after he went down near the end of the game.

Apparently, a leg injury will keep him on the sideline for up to three months although the situation may improve over the next few days.

Meath started last night's game for the second week in-a-row without Harry Rooney who is also on the injured list, but Eamon Wallace was introduced as a sub and hit the equalising point while Conor Gillespie also continues to get close to a return to action.

Meath will be back in action next Sunday, but before that there is the Leinster u-21 FC semi-final on Wednesday night at O'Moore Park against Kildare. Eamon and Joey Wallace, Padraic Harnan and Adam Flanagan will feature in that game with Rooney a possibility.
