Meath v cavan next sunday is now a huge game are you going
There was good news for Meath footballers this afternoon when Galway turned a seven-point half-time deficit into a 1-14 to 1-10 victory over Roscommon at a windswept Hyde Park to renew their chances of remaining in NFL Div 2.
That victory for Galway now means that if Meath defeat Cavan next Sunday in Páirc Tailteann they will finish with nine points and could top the table if Down lose to Laois, but the Ulster side can still top the table with a victory in that game.
A scond place finish for Meath is now an attainable goal, but a Roscommon win over Westmeath would leave the Connacht men also on nine points.
There are lots of permutations and combinations and it's likely that the final placings in the NFL Div 2 will not be finalised untill all the games are finished.
All Meath can do is conentrate on dealing with Cavan, who also have plenty to play for. A big crowd is expected in Navan next Sunday and the advice at this satge is GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY FOR THIS BIG GAME.
