Meath to face cavan at dolan park today

The Ramor United GFC ground in Virginia will be renamed Dolan Park at a special ceremony today in memory of the late Niall Dolan and the occasion will be marked by a senior football challenge this evening at 6.30pm between Meath and Cavan. 

The venue was formerly known as Ramor Park is now named Dolan Park after Niall Dolan and his family who have been stalwart supporters of the club.

The late Mr Dolan (52) passed away in June last year after a long illness.

“Niall Dolan was a cherished member of Ramor United who, as a player and administrator, was a leader,” said Ramor United PRO Paul Glackin.


“Niall helped the club and the local community with his vision, drive and enthusiasm.


'Niall put his heart and soul into both Ramor United and into Lurgan ladies.


'Ramor United and the wider community have lost a great friend and colleague, but one who will continue to inspire for generations to come.


“Niall and the Dolan family will have a place in our hearts and we are proud to name our grounds in their honour. We are thankful to Airsynergy as one of our main sponsors of today’s event,” he concluded.


The late Mr Dolan was a Director of Airsynergy at the time of his passing.
