Meath head for drogheda on saturday
Meath travel to Drogheda to take on hosts Louth in the quarter-final of the Leinster MFC on Saturday with a Leinster MFL victory last March at Ashbourne to their credit.
Both sides negotiated the first round with Meath relieved to hold off a strong Laois comeback to emerge with a 1-17 to 2-8 win at Pairc Tailteann while Louth came from three points down in the final minutes to snatch a 2-14 to 2-11 win over Kildare.
Laois subsquently thrashed Wicklow which highlights just how impressive Meath were in that opening round win, but Denis O’Shea’s side will have to be at their best to secure a place in the semi-finals. Throw-in on Saturday is at 3pm.
