Death of all ireland medallist michel obrien
The death has occurred of the All Ireland-winning Meath footballer, Micheál O'Brien.
The Skryneman was on Meath's All Ireland-winning teams of 1949 and '54. He lived at Abbeylands, Navan, and later with his daughter, Áine, in Stamullen.
Predeceased by his wife Patricia, brothers Séan and Joe, and sister Mairéad, he is survived by son, Shane, daughter Áine, grandchildren Órla, Donál, Shane, Stephen, Niamh, Caoimhe and Aishling, brother Dominic, daughter-in-law Bernie, son-in-law Bartle, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece, nephews, relatives and friends and large circle of friends.
He is reposing at Áine Landy's residence, Herbertstown, Stamullen on Saturday, 16th May, from 1pm with removal at 7.15pm to St Colmcille's Church, Skryne arriving at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday morning at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
