Wind farms oral hearing to be held next month
An oral hearing into the proposed Emlagh wind farm development in north Meath has been fixed for 16th June next.
The An Bord Pleanala hearing will be held in the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells, and is expected to go on for a number of days.
The Meath Wind Information Group, which has been campaignimng against the development, said this week that it would be making “comprehensive submissions” at the hearing. The group will be meeting this week to finalise its plans for representation at the hearing.
North Meath Wind Farm Ltd has applied for planning permission to build 46 wind turbines in three clusters in addition to a 110kv electricity sub-station in the vicinity of Kells. A decision on the application is expected to be issued by 30th July next.
