Callan brings his kicks to navan
Award-winning satirical impressionist Oliver Callan has added a live show at Solstice Arts Centre on 10th October due to demand.
The comedian is fresh from his hit TV and radio series Callan’s Kicks on RTÉ to stage a night of live music, satire and comedy sending up the top names in politics, sport and entertainment.
The controversial mimic returns with a brand new show satirising the hot topics of the day after another year of scandal and controversy across Ireland and the world.
Featuring a new array of characters from Conor McGregor to Imelda May and Marty Morrissey to Rachel Allen, as well as old favourites Taoiseach Enda and President Michael D Higgins; a huge range of issues will get the Callan treatment in this biting live show.
“It’s an incredible time to be in Ireland – there is such a rage among the public like never seen before here. If you are one of those people who are sick of politicians, broken promises and hypocrisy, then I think my show is the therapy you need,” says the Nob Nation creator.
Callan’s routines are never far away from controversy, having raised the ire of politicians, sports stars and media celebrities in recent years.
“I don’t think anyone in Government or public life would be happy to be included in my show, but it’s all in the spirit of good fun and a great night’s entertainment with lots of comedy and music,” he added.
The Monaghan-born comic is also known for his sharply topical routines and outspoken interviews on The Saturday Night Show on RTÉ One television.
Tickets from €26 including booking fee.
